| A "state of the art" snack bar for students and faculty who want something different from the traditional campus cafeteria. |

| The University had one requirement. The facility had to be "state of the art" and user friendly. From the smokeless char-broiler utilizing a water bath to the automatic condiment pumps, this has been accomplished. An open front, air-curtain refrigerator allows for easy "grab-n-go" while the recycle counter pleases the "earth-friendly" students. |

| Specialty sandwiches, heart healthy entrees and gourmet coffees are offered daily including a "do it yourself" salad bar and after-hours take-out window. A cash operation open to the public, prices are at or below that of the surrounding off-campus eateries. |

| The cafeteria was designed to produce 800 meals daily and the capability of catering several weekly functions. The servery was designed as a scatter system to offer students a variety of choices while making sure the line moves quickly. Points of service can be changed from "serve over" to self-serve. The exhibition cooking provides "on time" cooking. A courtyard is used for outside grilling, weather permitting. |
